So much beauty exists in objects with a history.  Authentic design and quality of product should not be overlooked, yet often they are - in favour of buying cheap with a throwaway mindset. We should be looking more closely at what exists already, and inspiring ways to incorporate elements of the past into our unique sanctuaries - our homes.

In the spirit of embracing things with a history, I've borrowed the name from my grandfather's old Hampshire based shop.  For over two decades Reg Sutton oversaw his village store - an emporium of things for every eventuality around the home.  And importantly, if he didn't have something, he'd get it and if he couldn't get it, he'd repurpose, re-invent or design it.

40 years on and mirroring aspects of his business - today, Sutton Hardware presents carefully sourced and often rejuvenated mid-century, vintage and antique pieces for the home. And, in the spirit of keeping traditions alive - if you can't find what you're looking for, I'll try my darnedest to track it down.
